I have been baking and making cakes for as long as I can remember. From the age of three I was stood on a stool, helping my mum bake cakes and make pastry, and it’s a passion that has grown and grown. In 2015 I decided to take the plunge and start my own business creating wedding and celebration cakes, and I haven’t looked back!
I specialise in creating wedding and celebration cakes using buttercream icing, rather than fondant. This is because I believe that most people much prefer the taste of a buttercream cake, and so many beautiful finishes can be created. I love incorporating fresh and edible flowers into my cakes, which I think give incredible results.
My style is modern and fresh, with a twist. I pride myself on the quality of my baking, each cake lovingly hand baked in my kitchen. I never freeze cakes so you can be assured your cake will be completely fresh. I use deliciously rich Swiss meringue buttercream but can also cater for vegans.
I love to meet with my customers so that we can discuss your ideas and theme, so that I can get a good idea of what you want from your cake – I will often sketch out some ideas so that you can visualise how your cake will look. If you simply have no idea what you want, no problem – I can come up with ideas and inspiration for you.
I am a professionally trained wedding cake decorator, having received tuition from some of the top cake designers in the UK. I take huge pride in all of my work and am always testing out new ideas and designs.
